The black plastic insert goes into the hole in the steering wheel? The place where I purchased the kit said it goes into shaft on the cam switch where the spring/button go in if the shaft has an eye for it. Ugh. I'll check the positioning of the 3/4 hole, plus the button doesn't stick out far enough past the cam switch shaft so I need to make a fix for that b/c I don't believe it isn't contacting anything b/c of that right now.
