I would like to know if their are any Pontiac or Firebird clubs in the Chicagoland area. I am newer to owning Firebirds (two first gens for time being) and need to learn more on what and how to fix em up without breaking the budget. I am not a mechanic and only have my two years of auto shop from Gordon Tech High School plus my 214 piece Craftsman tool kit form Sears. My first car when I was 16 years old was a 67 GTO red with a black vinyl top which I had paid $2200 in 1985. It was two powerful for me and wrecked it twice over the next two years since owning it. Now that I am 43 years old I want to re - live those great times but more responsibly. I think day and night about fixing up my cars but need some guidance. I do talk to some people I meet with about my cars, but find it wanting. I also am a family man so I have to have balance with time and money. So here I am, and I love this web site.
