Hi everyone. I have a 72 nova subframe with all susp. components that I thought I was going to use on my damaged 68 fb. With all of this subframe talk going on I started looking more into what fits and what doesn't. Chevrolet parts interchange in google books page 75-"67-68 camaro type 1 will not fit 69 and newer camaro, pontiac firebird will not fit." It also says 69 camaro type 2 fits 69-72 nova, will fit 67-68 camaro with mods to control arm bumper and sway bar, will not fit pontiac firebird. Classic Musclecar 67-69 firebird restoration guide says "68 subframe will not properly line up with 69 and vice versa.
Other than drilling for different motor mounts and the different control arm bump stop location, does anyone know why the nova subframe won't fit? Thanks for any help.
