Original 69FB vert optional speaker enclosure still in the car. I am looking for a replacement wire that goes from the right side of this enclosure (the wire lead is in the trunk) to the replacement speaker. The speaker has TWO leads which I will assume one is for power and the other is for a ground. If anyone knows where I can at least find the correct "connector I will fashion my own power and ground wires to make it appear correct it would REALLY help.
If you guys need pictures of the replacement OE speaker I have let me know.

I sure would like to see those convertible speaker housing made in sheetmetal. I would think there is a untapped market there for someone to make some money.
I plan on sending a AM radio to http://www.turnswitch.com here real soon. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do.
As for the dash speaker. IMO they all suck. My brother has the kenwood dual speaker in his front dash and I have the single cone dual voice coil in mine. I think mine might be a little bit better, but like I said they both suck in that they can't handle much power or base.
I like the idea of hiding the speaker in the kick panel vents but I kinda like my vents operational. A factory looking rear speaker in my convertible is high on my list now.
I just don't see ever getting great sound while keeping a factory look in a convertible.
Using the cardboard as a template you could make one in your garage with just a few tools and not much experience. There must have been a reason that they used what they did?
