I was initially looking for a Firebird locally and was getting close to a 68 400 Convertible in Melbourne... best I could make out it had been repainted 69 Midnight Green. When I questioned the owner about the incorrect colour he said he couldn't handle that 'terrible' Verdoro Green and had to change it.
I showed pics of the car to my wife... the (censored) response was... "no way will I ride in a car that colour!"
Hence I kept looking and eventually bought my re-sale Regimental Red (its original R-1 colour)... which I love (so does she ).
).
