Well, we got some Pontiacs in action again this weekend. And at least 3 of 'em are 1st gens.

At the Texas Fall Nationals, Randi Lyn Shipp has her '67 back on the track. She has won her first 2 rounds, so far.

J.B. Clegg had his '74 SD455 Bird in the Super Stock action. He turned in a 9.82 ET, but left a tad early, to trip the redeye. This car is said to be the old H-O Racing Specialties record holder. And I think this may have been the quickest ET ever, by a Pontiac powered (non-GT class) Super Stock Pontiac.

There are two 1st gen Stockers, at the div 2 race, in Georgia. Bryan Philips is driving a '67, and Kevin MacNicol is driving a '69. Tommy Pettigrew has the highest qualified Pontiac, @ #2, with his '77 Bird.

Well shucks . Randi Lyn lost the 3rd round, when her opponent cut a .011 light. So, I reckin all the Pontiacs are out of the Texas race.

At the div 2 race, Tommy Pettigrew made it to the semi-final round. But that's as far as any of the Pontiac got over the weekend. But, Tommy had also qualified in the #3 position. So, he had a pretty good race.
