Thanks guys for your input. I did what was suggested and used 3M adhesive to glue the rubber to the glass. Then, with soap and water, I pressed the chrome trim over the rubber. Took some serious elbow grease to press them on all the way. Then I cut off the excess rubber that pulled out using a razor blade. They look good and are on pretty tight.
