Stick with the factory clutch fan. A few of us firebird owners in AZ are using the Hayden heavy duty fan clutch and factory fan shroud an a 4 row radiator. 2 guys have a champion aluminum radiator that fits perfectly. Water Temps never go over 190 here. Providing you have the proper water pump impeller clearances to the divider plate and a functioning thermostat you should have no problems keeping your bird cool. I wouldn't wire any electric fans to the factory wiring or fuse box it's a good way to set your bird on fire. Correct way is to use a relay and wire directly to the battery and use a toggle switch to switch the relay. Electric fans can pull more amperage than the factory wiring was designed for and melt the wires.
