Well, finally...the floors are almost completely into my car. Things look pretty good. I am glad that I found the piece that welds to the pan between that has the caged nut for the body mount! The first pan was a learning experience and boy are most of the welds ugly! But it worked. The second one, welds look much cleaner. here is the first problem:
We bolted in the seats just to see how we did with the floors. The passenger side is perfect. However, the drivers side slops/tilts slightly to the left and back a hair. When it is in its forward most position, doesnt look too bad, but if you move the seat back all the way, it becomes very apparent. Looks like the first pan (drivers side) we did, we set about 1/4" too low Not too much we can do now...so I think the fix is to stick a few washers between the foot of the seat and the seat mount. We tried it with three washers and it sat much better. I was wondering if this sort of thing is typical? I though I read on here that they have spacers just for this purpose? If so, where can I get them, or should I just use some washers?
Now, I am worried that the body mount bolt wont meet up with the pan in the right place...but we measured and measured and measured...so i am thinking we have it in the right place.
