Hi All, Risking posting this in the wrong place, but trying to determine if my motor is original to the body. I think so, I have the build sheet and all, but where is the stamping on the motor that would correspond to the VIN? Or is it supposed to? I see stamps and markings all over the place, but the block seems to be the key from what I've read, and I don't see much except this one in the pic up front by the water pump. The WQ seems to identify the 400HO, but the other number? I hear that there's a number in the back below #8 cyl, but I haven't gotten back there. I bet this isn't the fist time this has come up, so forgive me-
'68 400HO Coupe, 4 spd, 259 interior, Windward Blue. My other car's a Johnson 15 outboard on a '61 Starcraft rowboat... Just sayin'.
