Jerry, no apology necessary. They still plate plastic, just not interior plastic. The explanation was that the underhood plastic is more amenable to plating and there are fewer fitment problems. The guy I spoke to was very pleasant and I believe I could've convinced him to do my parts if I had really pushed him.
