My '68 was originally an A/C car but all that was left was the evaporator case and some of the wiring was hacked. I am in the process of installing the American Graffiti cover to delete the A/C for now, but the issue is, I want a working blower/fan.
The wiring I have remaining on the car is the harness from the fan switch (off/low/med/high)that then goes thru the firewall. It was cut just inside the engine bay leaving 2 wires that are hot and 1 that is not.
I think I need to find/make the "heater resistor block" to go between the switch and the fan itself to control the speeds, but I'm not sure where to find a resistor block or where it is supposed to be installed. Am I correct in assuming that the power from the switch feeds to the resistor block to control the fan speeds and then 1 hot wire goes to the motor itself?
Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions on this?
I really need to solve this wiring problem so I can get the car back together. The weather is warming up and it's gotta be driven!
