I agree the RA III cam would be good and I would recommend the Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and a 625cfm carb or even a 670 street avenger. More gear will definitely give you an improved "seat of the pants" pull. The exhaust will definitely help, but I would recommend going with headers. You can get a good set from Ames for about $70 and they fit good. They are the blackjack headers. May be able to get a set on e-bay, too. I have a set and have had NO problems with them at all! I sanded the black paint off and painted them with high temp ceramic header paint. They look great!!!
