I'm assuming that the pistons were 9-1 with stock heads. You had them shaved .020 which will raise the compression a little, probably to around 9.4 to 1. You are right on the line for using 92 octane. As far as power, in my opinion, you are just right for the cruiser.
I would continue with your plans and see how it turns out.
