I feel your pain Johnny. When I went turkey hunting this spring, I made sure to douse myself in Deep Woods Off. Came out of the woods with a half dozen ticks on me, one imbedded. I wouldn't worry too much about the tick with the white spots, as that's the same type that was imbedded in me and nothing has happened to me yet, going on almost two months.

One of my co-workers, who is heavy into all types of hunting, recommends tick repellent with Permethrin in it. It is only to be used on clothing - NOT SKIN - but he swears by it. I know it's what I'll try the next time I venture into the woods.
