Update, Aug 23,2007 Truck and trailer were found in Sherwood Park but no cars. ************************************************** Thanks Brent
those are some killer cars man! probably crossing the border into the us as we speak! not as hard as you think to make these dissappear! have seen higher profile cars dissappear quicker and without a trace!
i'd see if there were any covered trailers in the area at the time. easier to haul them off if nobody can see them!
our cars werent equipped with onstar security so you can understand how someone can rip these off so easily and not worry about getting caught. this fact is the unfortunate reason why theft of classic cars is on the rise! hard to TRACE OLD PARTS TO A STOLEN CAR UNLIKE TODAYS CARS. THERE VIN TAGGED COMPLETELY FROM start to final assembly! even the glass is etched on the assembly line now!
ill also pass it on to the camaro's forum. that way nobody buys it as a legitimate car! they'll turn it over to the police if turnt on to it!

Brent, Make sure your buddy posts over on the Camaro site too. http://www.camaros.net/forums/ There' probably hundreds of guys there who should be aware.
I hope they get those jerks and the cars are unharmed.
Thanks for the extra information. I posted this on all the forums that I can think of and if you people could do the same I would appreciate it. These may not be Pontiacs but next time it could be one of us.
Update:$20,000 reward offered for information leading to the recovery of these cars or capture of these criminals. Please help by spreading the word and posting on every forum out there. I can't bring back my friends car but I can make sure I tell as many people out there and maybe we'll get lucky. God willing we can recover these cars.
Lets make life as difficult as possible for these low lives.

Brent I have posted a request to the Vancouver Island F-body club to get the info on their site as well. Never good to hear of this happening anywhere.
I just heard that the RCMP have found the cars just South of Edmonton and are loading them on trailers as I type. No details yet but the detective said they looked intact and in good condition. I would like to think collectively we made these cars so hot that no-one would touch them.
My thanks to everyone for helping to get the word out and for posting this information on other forums.
FYI: My friend sounded like a little kid on Christmas morning...LOL

You get the reward of knowing you played a small part in helping to re-unit a fellow car enthusiast, just like you and me; recover their dream.
If I was even considered for any monetary restitution it would be donated directly to the stolen car recovery fund to help in the fight against this menace to society and threat to our hobby.
And maybe a little held back for a bottle of Champaine to celebrate the saving of two incredible classic cars.

brent, just giving you a little prod man! i would much rather have the owner use the reward to secure his cars so that this doesnt happen to him again in the future! everyone here can and does playy a little part in the fight to stop car theft. they help by ensuring they dont become victims themselves. however, if someone really wants it they'll get it. just make sure you have a way to track the car so you can get it back A.S.A.P! lojack or similiar devices are more reasonable than ever and in the time frame it took to steal these cars, they could have been recovered! thankfully they were recovered none the less but think of might have happened to them! more than worth the 500$ investment to ensure it doesnt!

Made the cars too hot by this board and py's posts? You people really do live in a fantasy, don't you? I've ran across more fgf cars this year than the total number of posters in a year. None of them visit and don't have any interest in visiting. In other words, we are only talking to ourselves, not a general population.
