Here's some inspiration for you.

-The #13 Firebird is cool.

-Not running with 69 hood(scoops), but with 400 hood (non functional,- they used the cowl).

-I have a very interesting article on the #13 Smokey Yunick camaro, that you might find a nice source, for 'tips'..-I'll post that later..
(or PM me your email adress, and I'll send the higher resolution ones)

Why did they put the 67-68 nose on a 69?

because the 67-68 nose looked way cooler ... ;-)

well, -cos it's a camaro, made to look like a Firebird..

They even ran 302 chevy's in them..

They didn't have any real birds to make for racecars, so they transformed Camaros..

It doesn't have Camaro fenders..... They went to the trouble of putting the 69 Bird fenders on it, they should have used the 69 nose too. The 68 nose looks out of place with the 69 body lines leading up to it. What a cobble job!!! HEY That nose isn't even the same as a 67-68! IMO they should have fabbed up a one piece nose that looked like a 69.

What about the louvers in the back quarter? Those are similar to the 8 bird, not 9 Camaro. They could have been punched in to make them functional, but they would have had to fill/remove the 9 louvers if they are Camaro quarters.

We'll assume #18 got the Bumper banged up by knocking a POS Camaro out of the way.

I have 3 classes I can build for. The cars are about the same, it's the engine, brakes and tire sizes allowed that make for the differences.
The first takes the original T/A series 303 Cu In max and 7" rims, I can't afford that one with a Pontiac Engine.
Second takes a 366 Cu In, 8 1/2 rims, for some reason very few build for this class but I'll probably drop my 355 in for that one to start with while I build for the third.
Third takes a 454 max 8 1/2" and 4 wheel disc allowed, but most run between a 400-440 cu in engine. So I'll probably build a Pontiac 440. That will be a little ways down the road though.
A nice little 355 will be all I need to start with.

But those pictures would look really cool on the walls in the garage. That'll keep me motivated for sure.
Thanks for the offer. PM sent.

Question; How would they know the displacement? Is it on the honor system?

NASA uses Chassis Dyno specs so they use a HP to WT ratio, HSR uses a Tech inspector and Cu In class, not sure how they verify though.
A lot of people run both series so I'm sure there's a lot of honor system involved. It is a hobby league of sorts. You can get suspended for making contact in those series. Pushing the envelope is one thing but over aggressive driving is frowned upon.

SCCA Historical series gets fanatical with proper date codes, car pedigree and such, I don't think I want to play in their sand box. They frown on newcomers and reproduced race cars.

Look closely at the front bumper. It follows the crease in the front fender. '67-8 didn't have a crease, only '69. These were special bumpers. Maybe they were made in Canada eah!
