I updated some stuff (DNS Related) in preparation for a fix for issues having with the FGF Mailing list dealing with ISPs wanting to black list it (Road Runner, AT&T). As the updated information is sent to the DNS servers, access will be restored. I just got mine back after several hours.

Services seemed to be restored.

Still having issue with the Road Runner and AT&T servers rejecting our server from sending messages to the subscribers on their servers. Really out of options as I have all MX records set including a local DNS server set up. Went as far to set a SPF record. Yes it sounds foreign as I have been doing a lot of research myself to work on solutions. All seems to be in vein but will give it a few days but not much hope left in a solution.

Other option is to change the email address to a local email address hosted on closet server for the mailing list but that will be a nasty solution as we will be a major change. This would involve changing what email address people would need to use.

Hey Geoff,
Did you make any changes to the mail address for L-list? All the messages I have tried to send out have been bounced back as undelerable.
Used "reply" to this address on the last one this morning: [email protected]
which is also what I have in my address book for new messages.
Thanks.

Lee,

It may have been a temporary thing as all my tests I ran work and point to correct MX record. The server also has been receiving messages today. Try it again and let me know as there may be an issue with a remote name server capturing my local DNS information. Should not as it does not have priority... but again this is all new to me in last several weeks of reading and testing.

Best thing I ever did looking for a fix to the mailing list issues. Did not solve the Road Runner issue but setting SPF records cut my personal SPAM messages down to less than 200 a day. I was getting over 1000 a day making it past the initial SPAM filters as most looked like they came from me.

I hope an additional benefit will be harder for the [censored] to spoof my domain names to send SPAM to people.

Excellent. Everything seems to be working again. Probably another screw up by my ISP, again.
