Something about this car just really does it for me. Now I am even considering this color as well. I just love everything about this car...

That's the one i've used for my home puter wallpaper for years.
It's one of many on HPP's sight.

My 68 was a Verdoro green/black vinyl car.
Painted black over red when i bought it mad
May just have to change it back smile

Doesn't look like you need to change much of anything to get there.

Nice car!

Well, I have taken the "list" that you all provided me about my car and what needed to be changed etc. and I am determined to make mine as correct as possible.

Now my wife and I are trying to determine color. And we are down to the final three. Silver again, Vedoro Green or Mayfair Maize.

You have already upgraded your car in so many nice ways, color won't matter except I think it should be a 'stock' color. I don't think the shade of silver you have is a stock color, is it?

I guess I will have to take a look more closely this evening. Just saw the color and the site posted here and made the assumption.

That pic doesn't do Nightshade Green justice. The FGF car show has one: https://firstgenfirebird.org/show/closeup.mv?CarID=15
The color is quite different in full sunlight. These pics are better.

I owned a '68 GTO convertible in Nightshade. It's a beautiful green/gray metallic. I wish it was offered for a '69 color.

That is not the car on the cover of the new HPP. Plum Mist car (Mattison's) and the Autumn Bronze car (Jim Mino's) and Brad, this is your copy since I have a bunch sitting here

When my car was painted I asked for and thought I got Palladium Silver. I think what is on my car now is Cortez Silver which I beleive is very close to the Pontiac Palladium. Not sure though...

I need to find a copy, none of the newsstands around here stock it any more.

That Plum Mist looks entirely different under the lights at Cobo as in the sun in that pic.

I think it's just a poor repro of the magazine cover, here's an actual pic of the same car.

That pic looks like my OHC vert, um, when I started it the other day. blush

Kinda like the dog dish red line look. In the new HP they had a shootout with 2 birds running those little tires and rims. Both got in the 12's.

Yeah, I think they enhanced the cover pic a little to make the car look more purple? Brad, you've seen it and it's not that purple at all. The pics inside for the article show the color better

Especially since on the cover that autumn bronze car looks to almost be red.
