Here is a preview of the radio station I'm launching on www.my67.net. Currently, it's an all late 60s genre. I still have alot of work to do as there is only about 6 hours of music loaded so far.
Soon it only be available to my registered users. But the guys here on FGF were my first, and I am forever grateful for all the help everyone gave spending my money. So you are receiving this special invitation with full access as my thanks.
Johnny-- I love the music. The first 3 songs: I just bought Paul Revere & the Raiders--The Anthology. I started listening to them after I saw their Judge commercial. (Indian Reservation was 1972.) My 1 year old and I dance to the CD. (I'm 48 and need to get fixed!) The 5th Demension was my favorite group when I was around 10. And I watched the Monkees sing both of the songs you have on YouTube last night...........just went to the fridge for a beer to celebrate--the 1 year old is asleep and the 5 year old is laying down! Thanks
So BIG question?? The tunes are mostly all 1967. I'm debating on opening the window to 1965-1970 but I don't want to lose the "Sound of Era" so to speak.
Yes, very enjoyable, thanks! I added what you have to some of my other tunes from the 70's. It's a great mix. I even have some of the 'Great Bands' newer stuff that also seems to fit well. And once in a great while, a fairly new band will come out with something that has to be 'mixed' in. I mixed in a couple SCOTS for example. JM, I think you would like the 'Camel Walk' from them. Among others... I like the CD version better...but here's a video link. LINK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSrLTHsOOKE&feature=related
Everyone likes what you have so far, so you already are on the mark.
Thanks for letting us listen!
Craig

I almost said 72.. and Jim makes a good point about looking at stuff on a song for song basis..
I'm also sitting on major artists I haven't really included yet; Elvis, Beatles, Beach Boys, Doors, Johnny Cash, Led Zepplen, Aerosmith, not to mention a trunk load of 50s stuff.
This summer at car shows, I'll program an MP3 player to play the tunes softly as you are near the car. Might even grow some big chops, put the Hot Wife in a mini skirt and take up smoking too?
Don't forget the early Pink Floyd, but please pass on the smoking!
And then post pictures too!

Johnny ,there are a lot of good Beach Boys songs with car tunes...my 409, little Cobra, little old lady from Pasadena, etc and the Hot Rod Lincoln song that talks about "telephone poles looked like a picket fence"
I just had the long chat with my 8 year old daughter about smoking not being cool, so work with me here....

Great for downloading. And they sound perfect played on my MP3. I set my MP3 on random and cruise around(not Bird cruisin' yet ). When a new tune that I didn't have before the JM download comes on, like 'Green Eyed Lady', I always say 'Thanks Johnny Mac'.
Howdy How do I download? I have just started the MP3 thing. I have been using 320 so I would not lose to much. But 128 sounds good. Thanks for the info Johnny Mac.
I've uploaded everything in my database for 1965-1970 now. Still plenty of great tunes out there, if you would like a song included, please email to: my67@swbell.net
thanks for listening,
JM

My sister is getting ready to sell her house, so she wanted me to get my stuff out of the attic. So I got my old 45's that my other sister gave me, from the Beatles to ZZ-Top!
You have a really great website. We're still listening to the music right now. Yes, we think up into 1972 would be good also. Looking forward to more of your show. WILD Radio Rocks!
Classic birds all the way! Like Rock and Roll, they're here to stay!
I'm glad everyone enjoys the radio station... it was fun to put together and this makes it more worthwhile.
I've decided to grow the music list chronologically and include early 70s hits too. The longer you listen, the more recent the tunes! Who knows? I might eventaully work up to 80s hits. The oldies station already plays them here and my teenager thinks their lame so it must be classic!
