Only drove it a couple of miles, and I have tons of stuff to address, but BAM! I can't remember exactly when I parked it but the tags expired in '05 and as I recall I parked it when they were still good.
Thank you one and all for your knowledge, help, and support...I have to go outside and play with the bird.
high fives bud... another bird rolling... but this thread is worthless without pics... thats all we ask, folks here will stop nursing a crying baby for ya to help ya out, but you gotta post a pic as thanks of this historic moment!
There's nothing like that first powered roll out of the shop. That's why I keep on with the project cars, bringing them back from the dead or a deep sleep is the most incredible feeling.
Even better than rolling out of the paint booth, though that's a close second.

Hey, congratulations! I was just thinking about you the other day, wondering if you still had the bird, and hoping you did... I think I lost track of you when I changed jobs almost 2 years ago now...
So far pretty smooth sailing. Had a squeaky belt and a tranny line leak and I had to work the taillight sockets to better hold the bulbs. I do need to adjust the kick down and a few other little things.
I have only made a few short trips about 20 miles or so total. I don't want to be too far away if I need to address something. I did the last trip with the top down... very nice!
Sweet! good to hear you're rollin' again. Like you, I've had mine in down time since 10/05. I've had to deal with personal setbacks, broken bolts, buying replacement parts and finding time to put it all back together. This spring/summer I've decided to take my time putting it back together, fixing other related issues and spending more money. But I want to do it right, so I don't have to do it again.
You're rubbin' it it drivin' with the top down. I hope to be doin' that soon.
Great to hear it Kevin. Hey, I hope to make one or two trips down to Cali this year yet. IF, I end up driving down on either trip, I'll see if I can catch up with you for a cold one.
