These are the two I'm looking at for my front fender. Tamraz unit El cheapo I had the el cheapo on my car at one time and it seem to fit ok to the fender. I ran the coax down the fender hold and tightened it up. I either shut or open the door and cut the coax in half with the door hing. So... I'm finally looking at replacing it. The Tamraz looks a little bit better to me. Anyone have comments on this?

For what its worth, I bought the Psycho one about a year ago, and it still looks new. (el cheapo)
It looks pretty darn close to an original style. And I think he shipped it fast.
I used mine for a rear mount antenna, so I can't speak for a front application though.
I think Tamraz has gotten some bad reviews on this site too.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure. I agree, #1, Tamraz is beligerant. #2.. I also have an el cheapo installed till I restore my original oval one this winter. Its been on 2 years and is fine...the base is smaller than an original, but quite reasonable for the bucks...

There are repops of the '68 - '69 oval masts. The only difference is on the tip of the mast. The repop has two groves, the factory has one. I can't remember where I saw them though.

I bought an el cheapo retractable and removable mast.It seemed to test fit well. Cannot remember if the cable was a tight squeeze in overall length, another thing to look out for. David

To late to get the reproduction oval one. My El cheapo is on the way.
I looked for some on ebay but never found one. The ones in the other Catalogs were to pricy for me.

I believe the cable was OK for a front mount. I rear mounted mine and had to add an extension length. I have never seen the repo ovals...be interesting to look at them, however I have the new base and just need to buff up the original oval I purchased of ePay....paid $45 bucks for it so not too bad...

Update
I don't like my el cheapo antenna. I installed it last night
I don't like how it shapes to the fender on the top and I don't like how it uses two swivels on the bottom to mount. The two swivels on the botten can distord and bend the fender.
Any one have better options?
