I'm thinking about putting one of these Covan's Dash Panels in my car, and wondered if anyone had one, and has photos. I'm also wondering what anyone who's installed one of these dash panels has done for signal indicators, and the high beam indicator.

I generally do not like most aftermarket (especially digital) setups, but those (classicinstruments) are quite nice! How much are they asking for those...out of curiosity

I picked up the recent "Pontiac Enthusiast" mag at the parts store. They have a writeup on Just Dashes which shows a custom 69 bird dash pad they built with a 3 gauge pod built in. Interesting idea.

I like the classic instruments setup better then the first one shown, since it keeps the double gauge holes in the dash. I really dislike the digital gauges, personally...

But that's just me.

Oh wow, I dig the classic industries piece way more than the Covan's scenario. I can't seem to find on their website if the dash is custom made, or if it's just the gauges that use the existing dash. If so, I know Autometer and a few others offer the same type of gauges, and are a lot cheaper.

and the gauges alone are $850.00. Looks like
I'm going to have to rethink them. I can't remember were
else I seen them. Darn slow brain cells, getting in the
way if the fast ones. Guess I'll have to start drinking
and weed them out.

I just called to check on them, and while they're pretty [censored] cool, and they send all the parts needed to do the whole thing, it's just way too pricey for me. I'm also planning on painting my dash red to match the interior, and it's just too much investment for not enough return.

On the other hand, it's definitely got me thinking about doing my own hack job to the stock dash insert with these type of gauges...

You can pick up the repro rally gauge cluster for far less than that, but the tach would not be there.....

I'm not worried about the tach, since I want to do the hood tach anyway. Do you have any links?
