I noticed a crack in my passenger side manifold yesterday. I would like to use this opportunity to replace them with a set of coated ones to clean up the look of my compartment.
What are my options on coatings? How long should I expect them to look good for and what kind of money should I be spending on this?

I used the high temp exhaust manifold coatings from Eastwoods on the exhaust and turbo housing on my '81 Turbo T/A.
One, you can brush them on and the brush marks disappear when the coating "cures" initially. 2nd, even on that ever toasty hot turbo housing - never had a problem again. Not a blemish.

I used the POR manifold paint. gives a fresh cast silver grey color. 2 years now and it looks as fresh as the day I put it on.

There is a company in PA that does coatings on Aircraft exhaust ducts, car parts and various other things. They are very reasonable. I will post some info when I get a chance. The info I have is at home and I will be working late today and probably tomorrow. I have a brochure which I can attach. Their work is very good and they give a three year warranty.

I left the paperwork in my truck which the wife is driving to work so all I have for now is the link for the coatings. Check the website out it has some very cool processes. The do very nice work and I used them for exhaust ducts on the helicopter's jet engine exhaust ejectors. http://www.jet-hot.com/Ed
