I have a 67 FB with a 400 and long branch manifolds. How bad is it to change the motor mounts and what are the best mounts out there ? I have heard the the mity mounts have really cheapened up their product.. Thanks, tom
If you have access to a lift the project is a breeze. Just did mine, bought them from NAPA, they had them in stock. I also have LBMs and as stated, if you do it on a lift, no biggie at all...
I've done mine on the ground. But, I raise the car onto jackstands so I have more room to maneuver on my back....and I change one at a time, using a floor jack to raise/tilt the engine just enough to R&R the mounts. Not a difficult project.
Change your tranny mount, too.

So far, the mounts I got at Advanced are holding up OK. ANCHOR brand. I think they're all made in India now...(not mighty mounts)...You could always go to the solid steel mounts from Butler.
