I'm looking for a decent used set for my 69' Bird. Looking for the following:

1) Multi-leaf springs (and mounting plates)
2) Shackles
3) Front spring mounts
4) Hardware (u-bolts, etc..)

I don't care if they are crusty, just should not be broken. (I'm putting air shocks on anyways so a little sag of the springs is probably ok.)

I have some shackles you can have if you pay shipping.

I have a new set of 5 leaf multi leaf springs.

not sure if I can afford the leaf springs. Plus shipping would probably be a problem for me. I'm hoping to find a low cost set of used ones.

nobody has an old pair of crusty multileafs for sale ? I'm a poor man but I can take back my bottles if the price is reasonable. I don't have enough to buy new ones though.

I will have a set soon. I am swapping them out of the '68 for a fresh set. I already have the new springs and just have to tear it all apart.

Sounds great Yellowbird. Another person here had a set of used leaf springs for sale but they were in Florida and I'm afraid shipping would be expensive (or atleast more then I can afford). I would much prefer to drive out to your place to pick em up ($5 for gas). Just let me know when you have them ready and how much you want for them (they are multileafs correct ?).

i'll have and extra set of mounting perchs when my car comes back from sandblasting

mounting perches ? are those the ones that are welded to the rear differential ? If so, I already have those (they are still welded to the diff). but I do need the other ones that the ubolts go to (I think they are plates and have the shock absorbers connect to).

ok so, here is what I'm still looking for. Does anyone have any of these parts ?

1) mounts (2) for front of leaf spring (cup shaped) and bolts
2) plates (2) that leaf spring u-bolts attach to and ubolts.

It looks like I'll be buying the leaf springs from YellowBird when they are removed from their Bird soon.

We'll be pulling the rear axle tomorrow if all goes well. Dream Cruise is on, but trying to work on the car too.

I usually spot 15 to 20. But I don't cover ALL the hours people are out cruising.
