Hey Folks ...

My '67 was originally equipped with A/C but over the years someone removed most of the components. Unfortunately they left the housing for the cooling coil attached to the firewall, I'd like to remove it and install a delete plate. Does anyone know if I absolutely have to remove the passenger fender and skirt before I remove the housing? I'd rather not but if I have to I'd like to know before I start.

Thanks

You can get it out without the fender and skirt removal but be prepaired to bust some knuckles! Some of the bolts you will have to access from below.Beverages and bandaids help.

On my cousins 69 we tried everything and we finally gave in and removed the fender, inner, and hood. Just mark everything and it goes back together easily. Made the job much easier. We used the AC delete plate from american graffiti. Worked out great. Good luck.

I don't know how you'd get it out without removing the inner fender. I didn't remove the fender or hood though.

I got mine out. Should have taken the inner fender off though.

can be done without removing anything. would be easier without fender/skirt but can be done. be prepared to crawl inside the engine bay and lay down to access the back 2 bolts!!

due to budget cutbacks, the light at the end of the tunnel has been disconnected for non payment.

Ames now has the plastic AC delete box so you can still use the heater.
