It has been a long haul, but the project I started with my son in 2008 is finally done (except for a few details). We did everything ourselves (new floors, every nut/bolt etc.) except paint and top. It was a basket case 6 cylinder (with incorrect V8) and badly rusted floors. Now, a 350/350 with 5 speed (hydraulic clutch) 4 wheel discs etc. Not original or a show car but it came out pretty well.

A lot of help from this site and a lot of work. Thanks to everyone who has given us help along the way.

A long haul from here...

Great job!

What kind of wheels are those?

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure.

What a great looking job! And the fact that you did it with your son makes it all that much more special.

Way to go dad!

Thanks guys...

The wheels are 16" Rally II reproductions - For some reason they only come in all chrome for the 16" versions so they don't look that original. We needed larger diameter to clear the back discs but I don't like the big wheel low profile look so went with the 16s.

More pictures here... I have millions from the project but haven't had a chance to upload them.

Car looks great. The blue/white combo is striking. Interior looks fantastic as well!

Just a reminder to have in insured properly. Nothing worse than losing a car that you put so much time and effort into, having solid ins. does help cusion the blow in the event of a loss...

She's a beauty. Congrads to you and your son. Always nice to say you did it all your self.

My son and I built his hotrod when he was in high school. I heard him say the other day that someone saw a pic of it the other day and asked, What is that a motorcycle?
Not sure what angle he was looking at but it is basically a frame with a SBC and a steering wheel. Kept him out of trouble during the last couple of year in school though so it served it's purpose.

Awesome car. The blue and white is really an eye catcher!

Any plans for your rotisserie? I'm starting my 2nd restoration.

Thanks Gus. - I already lent the rotisserie to another forum member. - Once he's done with it, you are welcome to borrow it. It sure made the welding, painting the undercarriage etc a lot easier....
