 I finally replaced he AC Delco battery my dad had put in years earlier, and the Eagle ST tires are startng to get some cracks in the tread... so I'm looking to put some new tires on... so I looked up the receipts... Battery was purchased in 1989! and the tires were put on in 1990! @ 60k miles the bird has only had 16k miles put on it in that timeframe... (76k currently)

lucky on the battery...personally Id never drive on tires 10yrs or older! thats asking for trouble....so, lucky on the tires too....

The tires on my 3/4 ton PU where 8 years old with plenty of tread on them.
But when I bought the truck from a friend - it had been in Phoenix it's entire life.
One of those old tires just fell apart one day and luckily I was not going very fast.

The last one I had in the bird was an AC Delco, lasted 9 years, but also spent most of its life on a battery tender, makes a big difference.
