Hey guys, Just letting everyone know that I spoke with Don last night and he informed me that there will be no Listowel Firebird Lawn show this year. Don says he is sorry, but due to a couple of factors he just can't do it this year. I'm sad to see this show go and would like to see a gathering, but I don't think my lawn is big enough for 65 or 70 Firebirds. I'd be up to a crusie thru the countyside.
Hey guys, Not sure if you are aware of this club or not that I belong to, but here is an event that you are more than welcome to attend. I will be there.
My Bird is finally back on the road. I just need to get it cleaned up now. We could cruise around here but I (with Blaine's help) would have to really think about the best places to go. I would go either northwest of here or down to the Paris area. Any ideas ???
Meet a guy at the waterdown show with a 68 350 HO conv ,Unrestored.I invited him to this website and to our Ontario firebird cruise. Will have to see if he joins.

Sounds good . The date seems to be the 26th of June ? Any ideas about meet up yet ? Cruise area or to a show ?
When and where is this? I would be interested. Can someone post more info about this or is there a link to the info?.
lotsatas --We are trying to set up a cruise with just first generation firebirds,You are welcome to join us.Since members are scattered all over it is hard to pic an area to cruise that is within a reasonable distance to all, Any ideas.we have cars coming from Ferg us,Whitby.Tavistock,London,Chatham , Did i miss anyone?

When you say Cruise .......do you mean creating a route to go for a cruise or as in a "Cruise Night" where we all meet somewhere and stand around and shoot the breeze? KW is about 1\2 way between Whitby and London so i would suggest maybe somewhere around there. If we are going to actually go for a planned Criuse we could all meet at my place in Waterloo and head out form there. I can hold 10 or 12 cars in my driveway. Or here is another option ... Any of you guys ever been to the firebird cruise night put on by Doroian in Orilla? We could cruise up there together and go thru Fergus and Creemore. There are some nice roads for cruisin on up there.Tis would happen in September

More along this line a cruise through the country then stopping at a restaurant for a bite or at someones house for a BBQ. The Orilla cruise sounds nice but its a bit of a run for some of the guys.Richard ,If he comes will have a 2 1/2-3 hr drive just to meet up with us.
Waterloo is central for a lot . We could meet there and cruise to a restaurant . There's a good on just north of Mt Forest .It has a large parking lot .We pass it on the way to Pumpkinfest . It would look impressive if a group of birds all hit a show together . I'm in . The 26th is coming soon
I'm all for the 26th of June. We can meet at my place in Waterloo and then head to Mount Forest as suggested for lunch. We could take some of the secondary roads and go thru places like Drayton, Palmerston and Minto etc and stop in Mount Forest. After lunch maybe head to Conn and Shelbourne and head the back way bypassing Orangeville and head into Fergus for a coffee at the Timmies. There are usually some cars gathered there on a Sunday afternoon. Everyone can head home from there or run in pairs or whatever in which ever direction you are heading home.
Myself Doug Blaine Ben Rob Mark Richard ( would be a long run for him coming from Chatham) He hasn't confirmed lotsatas Plus there's one more from london i want to call yet ( meet her at a carshow last summer and told her i would call her ,she has the same car as Mark.)
The restaurant that I mentioned is in Clifford . Just north of Harriston . That may be out of the way . My wife likes coming . Are any of you bringing your wife's (girlfriends )along ?
I do bring my wife along on some crusies but she is not coming along this time.
We can always go to the A&W in Mount Forest. There is lots of parking there.
My comments above were just a suggestion .....but if everyone likes it we can make it a plan.
We need to decide on times also which may depend on how long it takes some people to get to Waterloo. My thought is to meet at my place at 9:30am and leave by 10:00am
Meet a guy at the Otterville Mill classic car show yesterday,He just bought a 69 a couple months ago,I invited him to our cruise and he seemed interested.I will call him closer to the date to confirm. He said his was mechanically fit but has some rust issues and didn't want to be the ugly duckling on the cruise.I told him we don't judge and eveyone is welcome.
Thinking I may rendezvous with you guys in either Fergus or Mount Forest. Mount Forest is about 2.5 hours away from me so I'll need to factor in travel time to meet up at the time you arrive.
