I have never removed the front Bumper on my 68 bird, how hard is it to remove and replace with a new one? Is this a job anyone can do or better off at a body shop?
Just keep track of where all bolts and hardware came from (replace if really bad) and do not tighten anything up until the new assembly is in place and looking straight. My son and I took ours off and re-installed quite easily. Key to success is keeping track of the hardware (bolts, nuts, washers).

It's not too bad. It might help if someone helped hold one side help guide it off and again back on to keep from scratching anything. It's a good time to replace the front bumper stabilizers if they are deteriorating. You will want to re-aim the headlights when your done. Here's a summary of when I did mine: http://www.geocities.com/jims68fb/NoseResto.html Jim
Thanks all, Hope I don't screw it up. The problem I have with it is it needs to be re-chromed and the ends are 1.5 inch from fender so it may be bent. I want the bumper to fit closer to fender. The rest of car is redone, but this bumper bugs me. Thanks
