I posted a thread last month about buying some cheap (but seemingly good) headers, and asked you all pros and cons about them. Remember the jokes about them probably winding up hanging on the garage wall as dust-gatherers??

Got them today, and you were ALL correct. They weigh about the same as a tin-can of beans, and are bent and dented to hell!! A can of good beer weighs more than these things!!!!

I could never have imagined that anyone would produce headers like this. The aluminum couldn't be thicker than a dime. An OLD dime! Where could these things have come from?

The cost was barely more than a couple cases of Old Milwaukee, so I guess I got what I paid for. More crap to hang on the garage wall! :p

Get out your welder and we can make a lawn sculpture with your headers and the engine block I bought off e-bay. :rolleyes:

Okay, you Axxed for them, pics of the ugliest, cheapest headers ever produced. My Son and I chrome-painted them tonight in order to properly mount them to the garage walls as dust gatherers!







A photo doesn't lie, does it? I handed my Son one of these, then handed him an original FGF exhaust manifold to try and hold in the other hand at the same time. He was amazed at the weight and bulk of the original manifold versus the Header we received. We are now looking at using one of them as an ashtray or something neat!

For the first time ever, I left a NEUTRAL post on Ebay about a seller. It was ugly! Let me know if ya want to read my simple thoughts on the purchase!

Nashville, you really got hosed on that deal, I would NEVER sell anything THAT bad. Go with the long branch exhaust manifolds, they look so cool and flow pretty close to headers without all the hassles and clearance problems of headers. BTW, really nice job you're doing on your car, wish I had $$$ to get something done on my car .
