Just asking if you could shoot from the hip on how much you'd pay for a project like this. Roughly...
I have most of the car, save for the front seats, some miscellaneous interior components, some badging, and more..I would give a full itemization of it when I decide to sell.
It needs floors, rockers, inner/outer fenders, quarters, trunk, misc door work, winshield channel work...
Right now its the chassis on dolly's I made, stripped down completely. It had been sandblasted but needs it again. I managed to get alot of the small stuff epoxy primed as well as a few big items like the fenders.
Best way to get an idea of the condition is to just look at this album.
Doesn't look bad in the pics. If all the body/structurals were sound in that condition needing only reassembly, engine, interior, paint, etc...I'd say 4k-5k, in current condition with its needs 2.5k-3k. Do you have the motor/trans?

The guy that has done the welding thus far has done a good job. It's going to be very costly to finish that body if you have to pay to have it done. You need to figure out what the car will be worth after restoration and cost to restore to figure out whether or not it's feasible. I'm at the same spot with my 68 Coupe (not numbers matching) 350 2sp. I will have to wait till these cars double or triple in value to make back the investment to restore. In the meantime I bought a vert that I can drive and enjoy.
So what it's worth? Parts only...
You rarely get your money back when your project is half or less done. You will get more with the assembled and the rust covered up.
IMO

I paid $1,500 about 10 years ago when it was a full car in running condition (albeit very unsafe). Then $1,500-2k for sandblasting, plus quarter skins, misc paint supplies, more misc parts, and total investment thus far has got to be less than 5k. I understand the fact that I won't get my money back if I sell it now, I just didnt know if it was an under $1,000 car or maybe a little more.
My father in law has been prodding me to get to at least be a roller so it'll be more valuable. Get the frame back under it, suspension back together etc...Im debating that now...I know if I get that far i'll just want to finish it though...
Since your the welder then get the body done with the floors, rockers, quarters, inner fenders...the rest is a cake walk.
I can send you some doc from a Camaro project (/w pics) where this guy did all that work. You have to do it right because these things are all uni-body. Lining multiple panels require a frame cart etc.
That new body would worth good money to a restorer! The body alone could be worth $5k plus. It would have to be well documented and photo evidence of what was done.
