Dave, was that just a simple bulb replacement in the guage housing? If so, where did you get the bulbs. Also, do they make a LED bulb for our dome lights? Would be nice if they did, the regular bulbs throw so much heat they melt the dome light cover, an LED bulb prob wouldn't do that...
Yeap! That would be the correct bulb for the interior dome light in our FGF. Very cool. Then put LED bulbs in the kick panel/under dash sockets and bingo. More light, less heat! Bet they even have one that would go in the trunk light socket as well! Hmmm, just may have to order them...
^ great ideas... I may have to look into this if I keep my bird
1967 firebird A.I.R. 400 or California-emissions Firebird 400 four-speed hardtop. It also came with dual factory traction bars or safe-T- track rear axle, 10 bolt posi, front power disc brakes, PS, a Muncie 4 speed, Console, Dual exhaust, dual horns, and Soft Ray Glass windshield. Red on Red car... and a hood tach, rally gauge cluster... Maybe for sale??? Its sitting in MO and I am now in CA. Anyone want to haul it my way? PM me.
1220 of them were “(WU)” 400 A.I.R. 4 barrel manual transmissions. (Engine codes in parenthesis are for cars built with AIR Injector Exhaust Control, code 616. This was an emissions reduction modification performed on the heads. They were cast with an air injection passage to reduce emissions. They were installed on Firebirds manufactured for sale in California only).
It has a 24 339 code for the dealer on it from PHS... It was from Peninsula Pontiac, 2909 Pacific Coast Highway, Torrence, CA 90505
The only problem w/ the led dome light kit is the light cover takes away a lot of the potential light from the led bulbs( that being said it's still more light than the stock one). I'm trying to see if I take a little fine grit sand paper and take away some of the plastic on the inside of the cover will let more light through w/ out looking like I just slapped it together. Until then I leave it off unless I'm going to a show. When I finish it I'll let you know how it turns out.

If your worried about melting your dome light cover, get a convertible...lol
I've got them installed in my '69. I'll have to pull it out of hibernation, but could take some pics/videos if you want. I really like them as they are much more noticeable than stock when they are lit up, but you can't tell they are anything special when they are off. The rear lights look completely stock.
Digi-tails ready to install for 1967-68 Firebirds. You can add a ready to use harness, new lens, gaskets and/or hardware to make the install easier. We're working on a new video showing them on our 1967 Firebird (daytime and night), plus some more install information. Hopefully video will be on Youtube by the end of the week. 1967-68 Firebird Digi-tails LED tail light panels
