I've got one but it's not all that nice yet. It's going to take a bit of work to make it a show piece. If you want perfect, you should maybe look into a new one. They repop them now I believe. Just remember it's mostly dark inside the car most of the time anyway so you can get away with little imperfections.

I don't mind "minor" imperfections, and I know the reproduction consoles are in the works. I live 15 minutes from Performance Years Pontiac,in fact it's my 69 Firebird on their Firebird/Trans AM parts cataloge, and still waiting for them to get one so I can see it. But if I can get a nice reasonably priced original I'll buy one. I'm in no hurry, just now starting to collect parts. This resto will not be of concors level, but I still want nice pieces.

MA, Thanks, I got a little chukle out of "nice resonably priced original" piece. When you find that store let me know? ;D I thought the consoles were already out. I could swear I saw one for sale sometime back. Maybe it was just some advanced advertizing to see how much of a market there is.
If you want pics and price let me know and good luck with your search?

Classic industries has "almost" been ready to release 4 speed console repops for the last ten years. They have even shown a prototype on their website, and solicited people to buy them on reserve. Obviuosly they never got enough interest in them to conver their costs, so its highly unlikely they will ever be made. That leaves two options- buy a show quality survivor console for $800 on ebay, or buy a distressed one and use the vinyl applique.

That must be what I remember seeing. I got some vinal overlay material a couple of years ago. It's still rolled up in the tube. Come to think of it I don't know if I ever looked at it. Hmmm, I might have to do that. I used the dash overlay from that bird supplier in Canada. Passable but not like original. It's fairly dark inside the car most of the time so you don't really notice the difference in shade and design. Sorry MaryAnn. Didn't mean to thread steal.
