I dont think any playmates received a pink firebird. Nancy Sinatra had a pink convertible. Is this car for sale? Any info on the original owner?

I found this car parked under some trees in Arkansas 4 years ago, ended up giving to my wife on Valentines day, still trying to top that one! I haven't found out a whole lot of info on the car, the original black and gold Cal. plates where in the trunk, the window sticker, owners' manual, warranty book with the protecto plate, intersesting enough the name of the first buyer was absent on the proctecto plate, doesn't that ususally get stamped on it? The window sticker Says it was sold by the JulesMyers Dealership in Los Angeles, Ca.They are currently out of business, so if anybody knows somebody that had something to do with particular dealership, or just anything about this car, email me or call, my e-mail address is [email protected] my phone # is 501-581-2460, Thanks for everything and I hope ya'll enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoy the car, thanks again, Greg

Nice, rare bird. But it would take a real man to drive it in public.

Lee Hazelwood helped Nacy to get some fair songs, I actually have that album...then... In the 1970s Hazlewood moved to Stockholm, Sweden, where he wrote and produced the one-hour television show "Cowboy in Sweden" together with friend and Director Torbjörn Axelman, which also later emerged as an album.

Nancy had a 68 Firebird made for her, with a pink appointed interior. Pink Mist was on the palette as a Spring 1968 color, but what made Nancy's car unique is that it had a pink interior. The car was supposedly in an accident, and they made her another one.
As a side note, I believe Frank Sinatra did a commercial for a 68 GTO, so the Sinatra's were in tight with Pontiac. John DeLorean was always friends with Johnny Carson, and in 1970, Johnny had a 1970 Judge. When DeLorean created his DMC 2-seater, Carson was one of the first to receive one, and in fact invested in DeLorean's company, and had John Z on the Tonight Show.
Playboy Playmates received a car if they were Playmate Of The Year. Those cars are fairly well known, and they never presented them with a pink Firebird, or even a Pontiac, over all those years.
The Mary Kay pink cars started a little later, I believe 1969.
This 67 Firebird was probably a special order paint car. Somewhere in the GM palette was Pink Mist (or whatever name they went by). It may have been a Cadillac color, or perhaps Pontiac added it as a Spring 1967 color.

thanks Mike for that great explanation/history....
I`ve always had a "pink" memory, but it is the the GM ad for a 68 vert, a red car with a Nancy 'looking" girl next to it (maybe it is Nancy?)in a pink sweater...thats what misleads me to think Nancy and pink car...memory can play tricks with you at times.
I see that ad often as its one of the ones I have framed of First Gen. Firebirds

looks like we have someone on this forum that has asked her about it...found this on the Sinatra family fourm as suggested by Greg abv. Unclesamscandy Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2010 Location: Schenectady, NY Posts: 14 Pink Firebird?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Nancy, I am a car buff, and restore old American Muscle cars, especially Pontiac GTOs and Firebirds as my favorites. When I was about 18 I found a PINK 1968 Firebird in the local junk yard. It was made from the factory that way and always intrigued me. When I went to the national Pontiac car meet a few years ago here in Saratoga Springs, there was a gent who worked for Pontiac as the division historian and he told me that they made those special and John DeLorean had made Miss Nancy Sinatra one! Would that be true? I also read once that your Father went to the car show in NY and saw an experimental Firebird they had made for the show and bought the car right there! I thought they said it was orange! Anyway, could you help this car buff out and confirm or deny the existence of the famous Pink Firebird?
I think you are the greatest! THANKS! I have never heard the story about my dad and an orange Firebird nor have I have ever seen one.
