Can anyone help me? On my 68 FB the gen and oil light come on when I start the car. Then the oil light will go off and the gen light dims when the car warms up. I have replaced and tested the voltage regulator and alternator. Any thing that I am missing in this?
Thanks

Check your battery voltage and then check the voltage at every connection point between the battery and gen light, ie - the connection point on the rad support in front of the battery, horn relay, voltage regulator, firewall harness plug, instrument gauge plug. Some where along the way there is a bad connection, still working but needing a cleanup. I have also seen bad voltage regulators right out of the box.

Quick look at the condition of your battery cables would be in order, also. Corrosion inside the cables will cause poor connection of circuit. Steve

Sounds like a main line power problem, something is inhibiting the voltage that gets to the two idiot lights. Gotta work your way through each piece, as the boys have stated.
