Hi,
Can anyone verify how the upper part of the cowl under the wiper grilles was finished (body colour or black--and what gloss)?
Mine has had a re-paint so I'm not sure, but my inclination would be a low or semi-gloss black.

Same 60% (or so) gloss black as the rest of the firewall.
Some 'bird Owners have painted this area body color, and some have painted the entire firewall the body color. But black is correct.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure. It's body color, like most of the firewall, followed by a slop coat of firewall black. The idea is that the end product looks black. When they made mine, they took too much acid and didn't do that slick of a job at covering the car color.

mine was red , from overspray ay time of re paint, I took the cowl off painted the area black like the firewall....
