Same 60% (or so) gloss black as the rest of the firewall.
Some 'bird Owners have painted this area body color, and some have painted the entire firewall the body color. But black is correct.

It's body color, like most of the firewall, followed by a slop coat of firewall black. The idea is that the end product looks black. When they made mine, they took too much acid and didn't do that slick of a job at covering the car color.
