Hello, I have a firebird-67 (2-doors, don´t know if they made with 4 but anyway...), the problem is that I uninstalled my door windows and I can´t make them fit propertly. Do anybody know of a manual or something that can help me out? I´ve found this but it didn´t help me out since the adjustments seems to be different from my car. http://thefirstgensite.com/library/68fisherbody/06_Doors.pdf
thanks in advance, all help is appreciated.
Please try to answer with an easy to understand english and hope you all understand my bad english btw.
You are on the right track. GM considered the Camaro and Firebird "F" Bodies, so just follow the diagrams and instructions in the manual section you attached for "F Style" Page 6-63.

thanks salmon. Your propably right but the F body in the manual must be a scetch from a -68 or -69. The -67 has a front door ventilator and the adjustments screws is not on the same place. I can adjust the rear guide bar + I have a "channel?" so that I adjust a guide bar at the ventilator. Hope you understand, if not just mention where you got lost and I will try to explain in another way.

Ok, I managed to adjust the passenger door but the other window really confused me. The thing is that the channel (that is lifting the glass) is to far out (I need to get it more to the inside of the car at the front end of channel). I think it should be adjusted with the ventilator division channel lower stud. But I followed the manual and lowered the window and loosened the nut but I couldn´t screw the stud. It´s only possible when the window been raised but when I screw the stud then, it´s niether gets in or out? Anybody have any ideas? Maybe it´s not the ventilator division channel lower stud that should be adjusted?
sorry that I don´t upload any pictures of the problem but I lost my camera cable.
I'm going to take a stab at it - but I suggest you go get a new camera cable so you can upload photos.
I would loosen ALL the bolts/screws that secure the vent window frame and then try readjusting.
If my memory is correct - there is a long Phillips screw from the front of the door and another one from inside the door near the top.

I have now taken a picture. The ring is to mark the channel and the arrow is to mark the direction i want it to go. Because as you can see the channel is not even close to match the ventilator division channel and also the window frame scratch the paint when raising the window .
1) It appears the glass is still out, correct? 2) The glass channels for the main window would not normally come up that high in the door frame if the glass was in and the window was all the way up. 3) You have not installed any weatherstripping on either the inside or outside of the window opening.
The empty window frames are coming up too high when you roll the all the way up and because it comes up too far - it is pushing the bottom glass channel too far outwards.
So, I think you need to install the glass and then adjust. Basically the window needs to ride in the lined channel at the back of the vent window and match the angle of that "track"

Ok, the glass is out, but the glass channel would actually come up that high (even higher on the other side where I tested with window in). I haven´t test it with windows in on this side because it´s a tensity on the channel that pressing the channel in the wrong direction. So if it´s possible to fix this problem it would be great. And i haven´t installed the weatherstripping because I thought I maybe would be forced to bend the channel or something to fix the problem.
Well, unfortunately I have reached the end of my ability to provide assistance.
Because I pulled out both my main windows and my vent windows several years ago to rechrome the vent window frames and replace some parts.
I have never put the windows back in because I my next step is to have the car painted.

I think you are doing fine....personally I dont know about the 67, as I have only a 69, my first FGF was a 68.....but in case you need help translating something, bara fråga mig, jag kan översätta , hoppas jag!
here are some pic's of the 67 door I have off with the adjustment's done! see positions of bolt's and adjusting screw's.. This might help adjusting the screws toward the outside of the door moves the glass in at top, towards the inside of the door moves it out at the top! See the stop at the back bottom pic that keep's it from going to High!! Feel free to email me speerclassicauto@msn.com ***to adjust the adjusters loosen the nut and use a flat head screw driver to turn in or out as needed!!
Dont laugh, but on my 69 bird I loosened all the nuts and rolled the window up where it should be loose in the rubber channels.. Then I taped the window in the channels and tightened the bolts, not too tight. Kind of a pre set first. Then went with the final adjustments.... Went through a few beers... Oh yea if it's a vert do it on the ground on all fours, I adjusted mine on a mid rise lift first then again after I lowered it to the ground. Body flex gotta love it...
