I have a rearend out of a 67 firebird sprint. not sure on the code...it is the original rearend 3:23 posi , new brakes- hardware, wheel cylinder..powder coated...(I can't find the code due to the powder coating)...any info would be greatly appreciated...seen wide price range from high dollar 700,800 to 150.00 thanks henry

Not sure about the value, but that should be a pretty desirable item. Does it have the "ears" on the pumpkin and the traction bar brackets on the axle tubes?

it has the ears and tracion bar mounts...I have someone interested in it but he is just looking for a rearend w/posi for a camaro...the rearend is all original....except the powder coating. i will post a picture when i can

Being 1967 makes it unique somewhat, 68-9 used an upgraded rear suspension eliminating the need for the traction bar(s).

3.23 rear would be the last of the 2 pinion posi units, 3.36 & up got the nodular case and the 4 pinion posi, and better axles as well.

My .02 would be in it's current condition all fresh, $700 would be fair. If you have a nodular it could be worth 1K+ for the right ratios.

It'd be sad seeing it go into a crapmaro. As Steve said, it's a unique piece and 67 firebird only (for correctness). Some needy 67 bird owner might be glad to have it. Usually the crapmaro guys want 12 bolt chevy units.
