These heads were checked for cracks and flatness. milled .010 for flatness and had a valve job and were mounted to the block and stored roughly 18 years ago.some fine surface rust is in the valve cover area because the valve covers were stolen a few years ago.have not been ported. great shape.$1200
They are D-port.I may be wrong, but I took the engine out of a 71 ramair firebird and know for sure that it was all factory. Did they put non-ramair engines in ramair cars? All I know is it was a powerplant.
a ram air engine would be in a ram air car ,otherwise its not a RA car....are you by chance meaning 400 engines and 400 hoods? 400 RA hoods had the set up for RA for the RA engine...non functional scoops were just 400 on 400 non RA cars.
Also Ram Air IV were made in 1969 and 1970 only. 1971 was when they went to 455 HO as the performance motor. 96 head are good big valve screw in stud heads. People use them on 455 to have a good set of heads but lower the compression ratio of the engine. If you are trying to market them that is the way to do it.
Restoring a 1968 400 4spd, numbers matching Firebird Coupe, Verdoro Green. Larry My old 68. Wish I had her back.
