FYI, there was a 68 Air cleaner on EBAY (w/o snorkel) for sale. Looked a little rough.

doubt anyone will produce that as too many OHC6s have been converted to V8s...and numbers wont be there to sell to...'tooling' cost for it would be too much to be able to sell enough of them at a reasonable price to make a profit

Bjorn is being an optimist by giving a glimmer of hope. Only way it happens is someone on this web site wins the lottery and does it to prove us wrong. For every one like you that is putting an OHC back into these cars, 10 or more are being removed.

there ARE some who love the OHCs...my friend Andys daughter Clare is just putting back together an OHC which threw a rod before ,cracked the block...its been a long journey for her as parts are hard to find...but its doable...and not only is it a rare car, they get rarer by the moment....the ones with these cars will be very happy eventually , having some of the few remaining ones....its a great engine!

While you may not believe it from my post, I fall into the group that loves the OHC engines especially the Sprint cars. IMHO the Pontiac Sprint was in a unique class all by itself; there was absolutely no parallel in the Mustang, Camaro, Cougar, AMX, Nova, Baracuda, etc. In fact I applauded our new member from Kansas for his endeavor in putting an OHC back in. But the reality is, he is in the minority and I still maintain, more are pulled than put back in. You see complete OHC engines on EBay all the time including Sprints. Sad but true. FYI the two Firebirds I have owned.

1. 1967 Sprint Convertible w/ 3 speed
2. 1967 Sprint Convertible w/ ST-300 and factory AC (current car)

I wouldnt say 'no one' knows how to work on them....Glenn U in Orlando does, so does my friend Rolf....its more parts availability (or lack thereof) I think that makes it hard to rebuild....and/or many who dont know what they have and just think "I could have had a V8"...lol

You are correct as usual, most of my parts come from EBay or this board. It's part of what comes with owning them.
