It's a Firebird 400 Ram Air car. The owner doesn't know what the Trans Am option consisted of, so he's assuming that since this car is white with a blue interior, and has the Ram Air engine, it's "a Firebird built with Trans Am options".
His claim that it's a 1 of 1 is wrong, unless of course he's referring to the fact that it's the only one with this VIN#, which in that case, everyone that owns a motor vehicle has a 1 of 1.
Rare car, but way overpriced. His appraisal value means nothing. You can have anyone write up an appraisal, for any amount of money, if you flip them $50.
Sometimes you run across one of these dealers that has a 1987 Buick Regal T-Type, and because they never knew that the T-Type had many of the same features as a Grand National, they trump up their ad by saying things like, "1 of 1, a Regal built as a GN...." Same goes for a dealer that gets excited when they get a 71-72 Firebird Formula in the door, and not realizing the Formula could be ordered with the same options as a Trans Am, they believe it's a super rare car, one that slipped out the back door, because it has a 455HO.
Whats the car worth? One of 60 or so built , and 11K miles? It certainly may be the lowest mile ram air 400 car built,id venture to say hes not THAT far off on price?????
Wow! I have a 69 350ho with the T/A gauges, quick ratio power steering with the cooling loop, 4 speed m20, 3.55:1 safe t track rear, and it's a convertible that is PHS documented, Matador Red/Black Deluxe Int, White Top... Mine isn't in this shape, though! I hope he gets what he's asking.
