Most important: Your photos cannot be attached unless they are on a public photo posting site (PhotoBucket for instance).
Then you can go to "Full Reply Screen" and use the 4th icon from the left of the Full Reply Screen" to insert the address of your photo.

Actually you can upload them directly here. In the "Full Reply Screen" click on the "File Manager" link. It will open a new tab that you can upload your photos into your post.

Cool. Still thought we had to do this the old fashioned way. This is my "learned something new" for today.

barnett, I was wondering if you tried this yet and did it work? I have tried it and it does not work for me. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.
Testing my ability to add photo using "full reply screen" and "file manager".
Well lookie below...It worked!!! Heck...I just learned something new today also...never noticed that "file manager" screen there. In the past I have always used Photobucket for pics (which I still prefer for larger/more detailed photos...but this works faster, and is fine for lower resolution shots!)
Firstgen54: I'm not sure where you're going wrong...here are some more detailed directions to maybe help you out: In "File Manager", "choose file", then screen pops up to allow you to browse your computer for your photo. Click it. Then "add file", then it will count up as it uploads. When finished click "done adding files".
Then finish typing your text and "submit" as usual.
as my stepdad used to say:" a day you didnt learn something new ,was a wasted day"
and , no, you cannot copy and paste pics here...I always use the 'file mgr', but in some sections ,there is no file mgr.. at that point I may make a reference to a section (like "Ramblings") where I post the pictures

Actually, your full resolution photo is uploaded. The "Attachment" picture is a low-res thumbnail. In Firefox, you can right-click and select View Image to see the full size pic. Other browsers probably have their own way to get to the full size picture.

Well I'll be an itchy monkey wrench!! I learned TWO things today about these dangburn photo thingies!!
After right clicking the photo with my browser (Google Chrome), I had the option to "open image in new tab" and the pretty picture filled up my whole dang screen just as big and clear as day!!!
What a great thread! Has nothing to do with firebirds, but useful nonetheless....
Yes but I just found out that every picture I have is too big to directly enter it here. Max is 1.91MB so I will have to lower the res before I start. Here goes...did it work? The file manager says something is attached but preview post does not show it. Guess I will just have to hit sumbit and see what happens...
It worked! Hey, where'd the other half of your car go??
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure. I feel like I am diagonally parked in a parallel universe. 1968 400 convertible (Scarlet) 1976 T/A - 455 LE (No Burt) 1976 T/A New baby, starting full restoration. 1968 350 - 4 speed 'vert - 400 clone (the Beast!) 1968 350 convertible - Wife's car now- 400 clone (Aleutian Blue) (Blue Angel) 2008 Durango - DD 2008 GXP - New one from NH is AWESOME! 2017 Durango Citadel - Modern is nice! HEMI is amazing! 1998 Silverado Z71 - Father-daughter project 1968 400 coupe - R/A clone (Blue Pearl) (sold) 1967 326 convertible - Sold 1980 T/A SE Bandit - Sold
You mean that is not the way the car is supposed to look? I thought the shop knew what they were doing!
The car is back together now, but I thought that was a cool picture so I chose that one.
Intersting note...it does not seem you can use this "file manager" option when you first post a message as I do not see that option available, so it seems you have to revert to the Photobucket/Shutterfly type process for any new posts that you want to have pictures included into. The file manager only shows up when you relpy to other messages.
What if you start a plain message, then respond to yourself?
