My '69 vert has a 400ci and TH400 transmission, and power front disc brakes. I'm not sure what it came with originally. My brother and I were working in the interior this weekend, and he noticed some flexibility in the ends of my brake pedal cover. He pulled it off and noticed the cover was about 1" too long for the pedal. This could be a dangerous situation, so I ordered a new pad for the '69 disc brake/automatic car. The new one is also about 1" too long. :-(

Can someone help me figure out which brake pedal cover to buy? My pedal is 5-1/4" wide at the top and 4-5/8" wide at the bottom. Is this a drum brake/auto tranny pedal? It's even possible the pedal assembly is not original to the car. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have the same with mine, the person who had the car before me put it on. It was coming of all the time I drove the car. Started to look it over an found the same thing. I have the front disc on it. Don't want to start buying stuff an find out it doesen't fit, only to have to send it back. Where can the right part be order that will fit?

Coilster, I ordered this one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/390383133506?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

I'll let you know when it arrives. The Tamraz rep told me it was the right one. You can tell my looking at the photo that it's narrower than the disc brake pedal. Should have it by Thursday. Price sucks, but it has to be right for safety. I'll follow up with a note to this thread.

Coilster, the pedal pad arrived and fit like a glove. That's the one you need.
