Question,,

Anyone have the original OEM LOF right quarter glass in their 69? My passenger side door and quarter glass are later LOF replacements. Non correct.

On my original drivers side quarter,, the LOF on the glass is etched on the 'inside/interior' side of the glass. I ordered a new quarter for the passenger side from Auto City Classics and the quarter is LOF etched on the outside. The older replacement LOF was etched on the ouside as well.

But, seems that when originally supplied, they would have been 'matched' as to etching sides like the doors..

Anyone varify wihich is corrrect on the R/quarter marking?

I've seen the in/out vary - a lot.

Thanks guys..

I had already looked on CRG, and actually shows my exact dating of JV!!

I bought a replacement w/shield, R/door glass and R/quarter from Auto City Classics. The LOF looks really good, but the ASI and date codes etc, kinda crowd around the LOF, caught my eye, and some of the lettering (although some are spot on)look 'off' in comparison to an original piece of glass/script.

Not sure how much more 'correct' Pilkington would be, or if it's even their own glass since all of these seem to carry the same part number DW688GBN, and they do look good but thought they would be more correct looking as far as spacing/scipt. I know that all this glass for old iron is made overseas, and I guess 'reproduction' can only be so correct. All being considered, guess which side the etch is on doesn't cary much weight.
