May need some 67 front drums. Running into a seal mystery with my current drums.

PM or email if you have some you're willing to part with.

Just chucked a pair last spring. They are still available through NAPA or other parts stores. Probably not worth the cost of shipping.

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure.
I feel like I am diagonally parked in a parallel universe.

I'm investigating that avenue too, thanks.

The drums you get from NAPA is just the drum, not the hub. The hub and drum will separate if need be.

What is the trick or gotcha's of separating the hub from the drum? Has anyone had experience doing this before. Is it a pressed fit. What tools are required?

There is a little Burr at the base of the drum and the wheel stud that has to be filed or ground down on each one of the studs.

Then set the drum facing up on two heavy duty boards. 4x4 6x6 wide enough to allow the hub to fit between them.

Then lay a piece of 4x4 board over the front hub and whack it with the biggest sledge hammer you can find.

You have to replace the studs when doing this.

Thanks. Is this little burr on the front side where the studs come through the drum?

Do you remove the studs first or hub and studs all at once?

Yes on burr. It is on the stud right against the drum on front.

The studs are on the hub so you can remove them after splitting them apart. It may be best to press out the stud in a press and press back in.

I found a used hub that was guaranteed to be good from All American Classics Inc. www.allamericanclassics.com. The one I got was in fantastic condition.
