Well after 9 months I finally got the bird back home. We loaded it up and then took it to get a front end alignment and then two hours on the road back in it garage.

Wow! It looks great! It must feel good having it back. How much more to do and how long before going back on the road? I have to get all the interior done and the top put on now. I also need to work out a few little bugs. The heater hose on the back of the head wants to keep leaking a little. The power steering system needs bleed fully. Turning left is fine and right is a little harder, so there must be a little air in the system. My Gen light on the dash is staying on when the engine is running also, so I got to work that gremlin out. Hopefully it will be on the road in the next few months. I would like to see it on the road by the end of April. We will see.

I build this to keep and all my money was sunk into her. Can't afford to build another one anytime soon.

He has the restoration shop that has been helping me with the body work. He is big into 50 era dodge, Plymouth, Chryslers, Packards. He just keeps buying and buying. He is currently restoring a couple of 30 era cars and 58 Plymouth convertibles. He likes his cars. he has hundreds of these era cars laying around. It is an adventure to visit his farm.

That looks like a REALLY cool place...don't see as much of that sort of thing anymore like you did everywhere back in the good ol' days. Scrap is worth too much $$$$....
