Wiring snafu part deux. I installed a completely brand new dash, tail light, & forward light harness in my 68 bird because I upgraded to the gauge pack. I didn't change the engine harness because I saw it works with or without the gauges. Other than that, those are the only changes. Hook the battery back up & everything works: lights, turn signals, radio, BUT the car won't even turn over....no noise at all, the starter won't even click. I double checked the MSD box wires just to make sure & the wires on the coil & their fine. I'm at a complete loss. I never touched the wires going to the starter SO the bird should just fire right up, or so I thought. It would be easier to trace if the starter would click but with no sound at all I'm not sure where to start looking. This ever happen to anyone else?? Ideas??

check the wiring to your neutral start switch or clutch pedal switch

Yes the new harnesses have a neutral safety switch plug but 68 has no neutral safety switch. I ended up using a jumper wire in it.

It was a plug under the dash with a heavy gauge wire from the ignition switch.

So I need to jumper the neutral safety switch then? My bird is a 4-speed so I never gave it a thought
