As i said in my previous post... I am into the car for $14,000.00 I got scammed on Ebay and i am just trying to move past it and take a loss, so i can buy another car... Some info on the car.. i am looking to get $7,700.00 This car is being sold "AS IS" and needs restoration, but has great potential. It has a 12 bolt transmission and runs great. The car has power steering, the top is powered and the motor works, however it needs fluid and the top needs to be installed properly... There are new floors in the car... I can be reached at LBL9481@aol.com Car

What did it cost to get it shipped from Cali? I remember seeing that one on the local CL.

Hmm. That's about what I figured. Probably an open transport would be a bit less I suppose.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. Older guys here are probly tired of my story...
Having owned two 1st gen's since 75 and 77, figured I could tell a good one without seeing 1st hand. Looked great in the pic's. Added up all the parts and work done, figured couldn't go wrong. Even included a fairly new open trailer. So sent $500 deposit. After driving over night(12-13 hrs) the next weekend, of course noticed a few things needed attention once I got there. Paint wasn't near as good as the pic's showed. Crappy chrome. Trans pan leak...or so I thought... R/F caliper leak. Did start and run good on the trailer, but couldn't drive it where it was located(long story). Once home, replaced the calipers, sealed up the trans, plus few other odds/ends. 1st time out the relay to cooling fan fried, Was up to 260 before I noticed. Had to hard wire to get home. 2nd time out the trans lasted about 10 miles... 3rd time out, carb float stuck and flooded out. NO FILTER! Nearly every time I drove it, something happened. Then I noticed paint pealing. Found Red paint under the Black. Checked data plate, was originally Verdoro... Car was wrecked, had used fenders, doors, hood, and rear wheel houses reworked to look like new.
More later after done pounding my head....

It's tough to find a bird these days that hasn't been messed with to the point where you have to redo everything. Friend told me a story last night about a car that was done at a restore shop. $36,000 later he had a car that the sub frame was in crooked and the front tired rubbed the inner fenders. The new quarter's were welded in wrong so the trunk area had big gaps. The interior was another horror story.
